These Terms of Service apply to the BalaShoppa mobile application and related pages hosted at balashoppa.stanleydesign.co.za. BalaShoppa is operated by Stanley Design.
By installing, accessing, or using BalaShoppa, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What BalaShoppa does
BalaShoppa helps small businesses record products, stock quantities, restocks, sales, prices, reports, exports, and related inventory information. Some features are free. Some features require an active PRO top-up or MAX subscription.
2. Local-first data
BalaShoppa stores your core inventory database on your device. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for exporting or backing up data that you need to keep. If you uninstall the app, reset your device, or delete app data, your local inventory data may be permanently lost.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use BalaShoppa for unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or abusive activity.
- Interfere with app security, billing, purchase validation, or entitlement checks.
- Reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the app except where allowed by law.
- Upload or process documents you do not have permission to use.
- Use the app in a way that violates app store policies or applicable laws.
4. Paid features

Paid feature availability depends on successful app store purchase processing and entitlement validation through RevenueCat. Prices and taxes are shown by the app store before purchase.

5. Third-party services
BalaShoppa may use third-party services for OCR processing, in-app purchase management, app store billing, crash diagnostics, hosting, and support. These services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
6. No professional advice
BalaShoppa provides inventory and reporting tools. It does not provide accounting, tax, legal, financial, regulatory, or professional advice. Reports and exports are generated from the data you enter and should be checked before you rely on them.
7. Your responsibility for data accuracy
You are responsible for checking product quantities, prices, costs, sales, restocks, reports, and exports. OCR and automated parsing may make mistakes. Always review scanned or imported information before saving or sharing it.
8. Availability and changes
We may update, improve, remove, suspend, or discontinue features from time to time. We try to keep BalaShoppa reliable, but we do not guarantee that every feature will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device.
9. Intellectual property
BalaShoppa, its design, branding, code, and content are owned by or licensed to Stanley Design. You may use the app for your own business operations, but you do not receive ownership of the app or related intellectual property.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BalaShoppa and Stanley Design are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, lost data, inaccurate records, or business interruption arising from use of the app.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Termination
You may stop using BalaShoppa at any time. We may suspend or limit access to paid features if purchase validation fails, if a purchase is refunded or reversed, or if we reasonably believe the app is being misused.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, unless mandatory consumer law in your country requires otherwise.
